Accessible walks of a decent length with a view are all too rare so it was a pleasure to check out the walk in the Noosa National Park.

Noosa National Park – access review
Noosa National Park offers one of the most beautiful coastal scenic tracks, bordered by sea on one side and rainforest on the other, providing a natural habitat for some of Australia’s most treasured flora and fauna. Although koalas call this national park home, we weren’t lucky enough to spot one on our visit. But make sure you look up because you might get lucky.

This is a popular spot with surfers, families, couples and those using mobility equipment, particularly on a weekend and it’s easy to see why.

The coastal track is wheelchair-accessible as far as Dolphin Point where there are spectacular views of Laguna Bay, through to Noosa North Shore.

I don’t recommend going beyond Boiling Pot if you are using a manual wheelchair without power assist. The walk from Boiling Pot to Dolphin Point is paved but with an incline it would be hard work under manual steam alone.

An accessible bathroom is available at the beginning of the walk and midway along the walk.
Two accessible parking bays are available on the left hand side before the entrance to Noosa National Park.

For those looking for an even longer walk, you can start from Hastings Street and the Noosa Main Beach boardwalk and follow the boardwalk beside Park Rd, all the way to Noosa National Park.
On a sunny day there is no better way to spend time in Noosa than doing the accessible walk at Noosa National Park, and the best bit, it’s free.
