We did San Diego a disservice by not giving this town enough time. We booked 4 nights staying in the Mission Beach area. Totally unfamiliar with this town we went with a resort that suited and with the days filled with outings to the Zoos, Legoland and Sea World we figured we wanted somewhere central to these activities.
I would have liked at least another night to explore the heart of San Diego itself. It looked like a really lovely town. It is probably best known for being a gateway to all the activities I mentioned above and these were certainly well worth the visit. San Diego has a lot to offer and I hope one day we get back there to explore it further.
